I'M BACK!!!

taiwan really rawks!!! ate alot and also learnt alot about the local culture these 6 days...plus i love the sunny weather over there coz it's neither too warm nor too cold coz of the breeze...and i wanna visit taiwan soon! hahax... =]

upon reaching taipei on the 24th, we went to shen1 ken1 tofu street and i tried the local fried tofu with kimchi filling...and it's YUMMY! =) after which we went to taipei 101 and did some shopping...but didnt buy any stuff coz it's just so expensive...

for the next three days, it had been raining quite heavily as we moved from taipei to hualien to gaosiung to taichung...at hualien, we went to visit a beach with sand and stones sculptures tt look lk a shoe and a fairy's head...after which, we moved on to Jiufen where they sell lots of local specialties like fuzhou fishball and sweet potato ball...visited A-Mei Cultural Village and caught up with the performance put up by the people...
on the third day, we went to Taroko National Park, but since it was raining quite heavily, i didn't get to see the real scenary but only managed to watch the video of how th park looks like...haix...and my greatest regret for this trip is that i didn't go for the hot spring!!! *sobsob* i wanna go for hot spring when i visit taiwan again!!! =(
as for the fourth day, the sun has finally appeared! yay! XD visited Fo Guang Shan monastery and Mei-Non Hakka Village...besides, we bought a box of local food products from a souvenir shop...and in the evening, we had a very rush shopping spree at Dream Mall and i didn't get to sit the Hello Kitty ferris wheel coz of the short 1hr plus given...and that is my second regret! *agrr...* but at least i bought sth over there, so it's not a wasted trip afterall! =D
moving on to taichung, we went to a famous lake which was said to have sacrificed lots of lives in building this artificial lake...and the hotels located in the vicinity are said to be haunted! =X then, we proceeded to the Earthquake museum which was used to educate people on the 921 earthquake that occurred in taiwan in 1999...i also had a feel of what is like in a earthquake as we entered the earthquake simulation room...in the evening, we did a short shopping spree at Feng Jia Nightmarket which was mainly selling clothings, accessories and shoes...but the dinner that night was super special! coz the venue was like a cave and all the bowls and cups were made of stone! even the decorations in the restaurant looks like 'Flinstones' empire...and i really love the restaurant very much! <3
as for the last day, we went to Chiang Kai Shek's memorial hall, Martyr's Shrine and the famous National Musuem otherwise known as Gu4 Gong1 in chinese...took a look at the jade cabbage, and one of taiwan's symbolic animal--Tian Lu...and i really learnt alot about taiwan's history that day! felt super happy! keke...
shall stop here today and continue later...gonna catch some sleep first...=] good nite!
